Terms of Service
Last updated: August 16, 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your subscription to Byteca Platform (the “Service”), available at https://bytecaplatform.com, provided by Inventa Melhor Unipessoal Lda (“we”, “us”). By subscribing you agree to these Terms. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy and Cancellation & Refund Policy, which form part of them.
1. Who we are
The Service is operated by Inventa Melhor Unipessoal Lda, Rua Professor Doutor Bento de Jesus Caraça 18 1Dto, 2840-111 Paio Pires, Portugal, VAT/NIF PT517772647. You can contact us at [email protected] or through the details on our Contact & support page.
2. The Service and eligibility
A subscription gives you member access to the Byteca Platform community — a private space where members share and view content — for as long as your subscription is active. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract, and you must provide accurate contact and payment information and keep it up to date. If you subscribe on behalf of a company, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it.
3. Price, billing and renewal
- The subscription costs €12.95 per month for customers in the European Union, £12.95 per month in the United Kingdom and $14.95 per month everywhere else (taxes included where applicable), payable in advance. The applicable price is shown before you subscribe.
- The first payment is taken when you subscribe. The subscription then renews automatically every month and the same amount is charged to the payment method you provided, until you cancel.
- Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (“Stripe”). We do not receive or store your full card details. By subscribing you authorise us (through Stripe) to charge your payment method for each renewal.
- If a renewal payment fails, Stripe may retry it and we may notify you by email. If it still cannot be collected, we may suspend or end your subscription.
- We may change the price with at least 30 days’ notice by email. The new price applies from the next renewal after the notice period; if you do not agree, you can cancel before it takes effect.
4. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from your subscription page (Manage subscription) or by emailing [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period already paid for: you keep access until then and are not charged again. Except where the law requires it (see section 5), amounts already paid are not refunded for the remaining part of a period.
5. Right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU/EEA)
If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days from the day you subscribe, without giving any reason. To exercise it, send us a clear statement (for example an email to [email protected]) with your name, the email you subscribed with and the date; you may use the model text below.
Because the Service is made available to you immediately, you expressly request that we start providing it before the withdrawal period ends. If you withdraw within the 14 days, we will refund the amount paid minus a proportional amount for the days the Service was available to you, within 14 days of receiving your statement, using the same payment method.
Model withdrawal form — To Inventa Melhor Unipessoal Lda ([email protected]): I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the Byteca Platform subscription. Subscribed on: ____. Name: ____. Email used: ____. Date: ____.
6. Acceptable use and member content
You agree to use the Service lawfully and not to: share your access with others beyond what the Service allows; attempt to circumvent security, billing or access controls; interfere with the operation of the Service; or use it to infringe the rights of others. We may suspend or terminate subscriptions that breach these Terms.
Content you share remains yours. By posting content to the community you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce and display it within the Service for as long as it stays posted; you can remove your content at any time, which ends that licence except for backup copies kept for a short period. You must hold all necessary rights to everything you share, and you must not post content that is illegal, infringing, deceptive or harmful, or that contains other people's personal data without their permission. Content shared in the community is for members' personal use — do not redistribute it outside the community without the author's permission. We may remove content or restrict accounts that breach these rules.
7. Availability, changes and support
We aim to keep the Service available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access; maintenance, updates or events outside our control may cause temporary interruptions. We may improve, change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the Service entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and refund any pre-paid amount for the period after discontinuation. Support is available by email during business days.
8. Intellectual property
The Service, its software and trademarks belong to us or our licensors. Content posted by members belongs to the members who posted it (see section 6). Your subscription grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms; no other rights are granted.
9. Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for claims relating to the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in that period.
10. Termination by us
We may end your subscription with reasonable notice by email, or immediately if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms. If we terminate without cause, we refund any pre-paid amount for the remaining period.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms, for example to reflect changes in the Service or the law. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not agree, you may cancel before the change applies; continuing to use the Service afterwards means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Portuguese law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you reside. Consumers may bring disputes before the courts of their place of residence.
